This is a simple lesson with information about planting and the easiest vegetables to harvest with a class of school-aged children. It includes ideas for weekly activities and what tasks the participating children can do. It includes a Journal template that can be used by the participating children to document garden changes and the tasks accomplished throughout the planting and harvest season. There is an optional final activity to recap the season’s harvest allowing the participants to identify success as well as learning during the spring and summer.
